memories

I was looking through some old pictures, and I came across pictures of my 1st dolls house. I was really surprised at how much has changed in the past year!

My first house for my dolls was a 3 storey victorian style house built from a kit. My other half helped me build the structure and left me to do the exciting bit, which was the painting and decorating. I had such fun picking items for it, although I longed for modern items I couldn't find any!

I had no ideas that there exists different scales. I ordered the house online and bought some furniture in a shop in my town. for me it was very normal, that the toilet and the chairs in the hairsalon was half as tall as the walls of the room.
now I learned a lot and I have a lot of stuff that fits in the scale. But it was nice in the beginning. There is a magic in every beginning, isn't it?
thanks for sharing this with us.

    Thanks for sharing, Natalie!
Since I have had a doll's house since I was seven, I can't remember the beginning, but also for me a lot has changed after I found ebay and "blogland". Earlier I had just one house and almost everything in it was the furniture and accessories that had survived my childhood.
Now I have four houses and more than doubled my inventory :-)

  3. Hi Oese, you are right! it was a magical time. I am so glad I kept the pictures, because it brought back the feelings and magic of the moments.

I really like your picture, the soft colours, your choice of furnishings, and the way it all looks good together even though they are different scales :-)

Thank you for your nice comments xx

  4. Hi Pubdoll, thank you:-)

wow! it must be a great feeling to still have such precious items as the house, furniture and accesories you had as a child. I probably had one as a child but I can't remember:)

Blogging has changed me too ;-)
