I was looking through some old pictures, and I came across pictures of my 1st dolls house. I was really surprised at how much has changed in the past year!
My first house for my dolls was a 3 storey victorian style house built from a kit. My other half helped me build the structure and left me to do the exciting bit, which was the painting and decorating. I had such fun picking items for it, although I longed for modern items I couldn't find any!
hello natalie, it's fun to look back to the beginning, I agree. your first scenes are very nice, I like them.

I had no ideas that there exists different scales. I ordered the house online and bought some furniture in a shop in my town. for me it was very normal, that the toilet and the chairs in the hairsalon was half as tall as the walls of the room.
now I learned a lot and I have a lot of stuff that fits in the scale. But it was nice in the beginning. There is a magic in every beginning, isn't it?
thanks for sharing this with us.
It's nice to look at old pictures isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Natalie!
Since I have had a doll's house since I was seven, I can't remember the beginning, but also for me a lot has changed after I found ebay and "blogland". Earlier I had just one house and almost everything in it was the furniture and accessories that had survived my childhood.
Now I have four houses and more than doubled my inventory :-)
Hi Oese, you are right! it was a magical time. I am so glad I kept the pictures, because it brought back the feelings and magic of the moments.
ReplyDeleteI really like your picture, the soft colours, your choice of furnishings, and the way it all looks good together even though they are different scales :-)
Thank you for your nice comments xx
Hi Pubdoll, thank you:-)
ReplyDeletewow! it must be a great feeling to still have such precious items as the house, furniture and accesories you had as a child. I probably had one as a child but I can't remember:)
Blogging has changed me too ;-)
